Cetraxal Ear Drops are a prescription antibiotic solution used to treat bacterial infections of the outer ear (otitis externa). It is suitable for both adults and children over the age of one who present with ear canal inflammation, pain, and bacterial discharge.

How It Works

The active ingredient in Cetraxal is ciprofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone class. It works by interfering with bacterial DNA replication, preventing the bacteria from multiplying and spreading. When administered directly into the ear canal, it delivers targeted antibacterial action at the site of infection.

Why Choose Cetraxal Ear Drops

Cetraxal provides fast and effective relief from pain, swelling, and discharge associated with ear infections. Its local application means minimal systemic absorption, reducing the risk of general antibiotic side effects. The dropper bottle ensures accurate dosing and easy administration, even in children. It is well-suited for mild to moderate bacterial outer ear infections when used as prescribed.

Important Note

Cetraxal is for otic (ear) use only—do not use in the eyes or ingest orally. Avoid use if the eardrum is known or suspected to be perforated unless directed by a doctor. Always complete the full course, even if symptoms improve early. Discontinue use and seek medical advice if allergic reactions or worsening symptoms occur. Do not use with other topical ear medications unless advised.
