Dalacin T Lotion is a topical prescription treatment formulated to address mild to moderate acne vulgaris. It contains clindamycin phosphate 1%, a potent antibiotic that helps eliminate the bacteria contributing to inflamed and infected acne lesions. It is suitable for use by adolescents and adults and is applied directly to the affected skin areas, typically the face, chest, or back.

How It Works
Clindamycin belongs to the lincosamide class of antibiotics and works by inhibiting protein synthesis in Cutibacterium acnes (formerly Propionibacterium acnes), the bacteria implicated in acne. By reducing the bacterial population on the skin, it helps decrease inflammation and the formation of new spots. It also helps to calm existing pustules and papules over time. The lotion formulation is lightweight and suitable for oily or acne-prone skin types.

Why Choose Dalacin T Lotion
Dalacin T Lotion is a convenient once- or twice-daily topical acne solution that provides targeted antibiotic therapy without the need for oral medications. It is well tolerated by most users and can be integrated into a broader skincare regimen. Its fluid texture spreads easily and absorbs quickly, making it suitable for larger affected areas such as the chest and back. In clinical settings, it is often used in combination with other acne treatments such as benzoyl peroxide or topical retinoids for enhanced efficacy.

Important Note
Dalacin T Lotion should only be used under medical supervision. It is not suitable for individuals allergic to clindamycin or lincomycin. Prolonged use or improper application may lead to bacterial resistance or secondary infections. In rare cases, it may cause severe intestinal conditions such as antibiotic-associated colitis. Contact a healthcare provider if you experience persistent diarrhoea or abdominal pain. Do not apply to broken skin or mucous membranes, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Can I use moisturiser with Dalacin T Lotion?

Yes, a non-comedogenic moisturiser can be used alongside treatment to reduce dryness or irritation.

It contains clindamycin, an antibiotic that targets the bacteria responsible for acne, helping to clear up spots and prevent new breakouts.

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily on clean, dry skin. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth.

It is most effective for mild to moderate inflammatory acne. Severe acne may require combination or oral therapies.
