Novofem is a sequential hormone replacement therapy (HRT) used to manage symptoms of oestrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women. It is typically prescribed for women who still have a uterus and are within the early years of menopause. Novofem relieves symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, and vaginal dryness. It also helps prevent bone loss in women at risk of osteoporosis who are unable to take other medications.

How It Works
Each Novofem pack contains 28 tablets: 16 pink tablets with estradiol, followed by 12 red tablets containing both estradiol and norethisterone. Estradiol replenishes oestrogen levels to relieve menopausal symptoms, while norethisterone, a synthetic progestogen, protects the womb lining from overgrowth, thereby reducing the risk of endometrial cancer. The sequential dosing mimics a natural monthly cycle and typically results in a monthly bleed.

Why Choose Novofem
Novofem offers an effective, phased HRT regimen that is ideal for women preferring a predictable cycle. Its clearly labelled calendar pack makes it easy to follow the sequence without confusion. Novofem helps improve quality of life during the menopausal transition, alleviating both physical and emotional symptoms. The oral format is convenient, and its dual-hormone combination is widely prescribed and well studied.

Important Note
Novofem is not suitable for women with a history of breast or endometrial cancer, liver disease, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or thromboembolic disorders. Before starting treatment, a full medical evaluation should be carried out. Seek immediate medical help if you experience chest pain, leg swelling, or vision disturbances during treatment.
